MS Paint question

Chaps/Ladies,

Bit of a dumb question but this seems the most appropriate section to ask it in!

I have a photo that was sent to me but the person who sent it has edited it with paint.

The question, is it at all possible to revert that picture back to it's original form (pre edit)?

Is there anything that can be done at all?

I have been looking online but to no avail so thought I'd punt it over to the pro's.

in a word. no. other than asking for the unedited original there will be no way of reverting the image back to its original state.

Bugger. Yeah, no chance of getting the original back. I genuinely thought there might be something out there.

Haha, the only reason I can think someone would need to do that was either it being a nude picture covered up, a code or something private.
