MS Project Viewer

Does anybody know of a good freeware application that I can use to open and view MS Project (.mpp) files? I have googled and got some results but anything that seems suitable isn't free. Would be extremely handy if there was an application where I could open and edit the project but im not holding my breath!

I didn't ask the question but thanks for the replies, openproj was exactly what I was looking for!
