Hello All,
I am hoping some one will be able to help me.
We have an internal website built from MS Publisher which is a training manual, the user has to read the question and select their answers if they get it wrong they have to try again until they get it right before they can advance to the next page.
The final Page has an Email Hyperlink to email another member of staff, this will then open up an outlook session from the local server (SRV1) and attach the users score and then it will email the admin team their results, this system is a Refresher Training Manual about company policy and regulations, we have to know the users have completed the Manual.
The complicated bit,
All the users which are required to complete this are working of Wyse Terminals via a Citrix Farm of 20 Servers.
Outlook is a published app on all servers but is installed on (SRV2,3,4).
When the users hit the SUBMIT RESULTS tab it will open up outlook and prompt the new mail account wizard, this must be down to the fact that MS Publisher users the "mailto:" command and will launch the local email program on the computer it is hosted? this being an IIS server.
IS there any way i can set the link within the MS Publisher site to open a Published APP Outlook session so that the user can email their score. OR, Implement a code generator to the final page of the Training Manual which will email a Single person when a code is generated, therefore.
EG: I complete the training, i reach the final page and have to Prove it.
(the email function wont work as i am on a citrix session with only a published app for outlook) A code is generated (EG) 1539.
I then open up my Outlook from the Published app shortcut on my desktop and email the relevant person.
