MS Wireless Desktop 3000 Bluetrack

I bought this kit (which includes keyboard and mouse) when i built my machine a few weeks back.

I've noticed that the mouse appears to stay powered up with the blue track light on, even when the machine is off.

Does anyone else have this kit? Is there any way to have the mouse turn itself off?

Theres nothing in the manual about it and i can't see anything in the supplied software; just seems a bit strange to leave them draining power 24/7.

It doesn't use it's power, It uses it when it's activated

The blue light under the mouse is always on.
