MS Word help (2003 version)

Hi all

I am writing a report and need to cut and paste sections of a document into my report. The document that I am copying from has line numbers in the margins and I need to retain these. The problem is that when I select the text, the line numbers in the margins are not selecting. I can manually type the line numbers but that will take ages (cannot format line numbers into my document for just the relevant text as the numbers are not consecutive).

Can anyone help?

If you go to Format>Paragraph>Line and Page Breaks, is Suppress Line Numbers on?
