Hi all,

Making a wedding scroll in MS word (Maybe I should use something else?). What I'm trying to achieve is the following..

Was thinking it be pretty straight forward , I have done the left hand side of the page no problem at all. Now I'm trying to do the right hand side and the first 3 headings completely mess up line spacing of the stuff on the left. Ideally want to be able to do the right hand column without affecting anything on the left. Its probably something simple but as someone who never really used word I'm lost.

I hope I have explained it properly and would appreciate any help.

Thanks

The top and bottom look easy enough to do as they span the width but the body between that i'd do in a table and then make the table border clear.

You might be best to put 2 tables side by side which might require you to change paragraph settings so the 2nd can be placed alongside. Alternatively I think you can place a table into the cell of another table so you could have the 1st table as 1 row and 2 columns, then place a table in each column.

Just created a table and copied and pasted the left side into a cell, pasted what I have of the right side into cell next to it. I can edit them completely separately between the 2 so I can achieve what I need to achieve with this method. Thanks for your help :)

Word is a WP application this kind of thing is usually done in a DTP application.

You can use a tables, probably the easiest to manage. But probably the right way, is to use text boxes and effectively use Word as DTP layout. Most people don't know you can use word like that.
