I’ve noticed a lot of people when setting graphics settings for 4k resolution usually have MSAA at x4 rather than x8, and I know this can make a huge difference in getting better fps, but it seems the general opinion is that you don’t need high settings for msaa in 4k. But I swear when playing Forza Horizon 4, the overall graphics look a lot worse in x4 MSAA. Despite getting for FPS in 4k, for me, I actually prefer having Msaa set to x8 and playing in 2560x1440 resolution. I dunno if I’m mindfully convincing myself that x8 is better, but sure foliage, hedges and even the grass/fields look better with x8 msaa even in a lower resolution. I’ve always hand the mindset that, if you have a good 4k but have to turn settings down. It’s like buying a good camera and smearing Vaseline over the lens to save storage. What’s over peoples opinions? The other setting is the FXAA, I must admit I don’t always notice much difference, but turning it off, I don’t notice the fps improves much, or turning on making them drop.
