Hi from msconfig from start menu > boot tab > advanced options > Number of cores is usually set to 1 by windows as default but if i tick the number of processors and put 4 in would that make a difference in games and make use of all 4 cores?.

Hi thanks. Been reading also where games uses just one core of your CPU but you cange this by going to power options.

Advanced" panel of the "Power Options" panel; you don't need to touch the registry for this. The basic way to get to it is to go in the Control Panel, go to Power Options, then "Change Plan Settings," Advanced, then click "Change advanced power settings." Click the little '+' next to "Processor Power Management," and lastly, go to "Minimum Processor State."

they say set this to 0 as on mine i have looked and both are at 100% but not changed anything. Would it help at all if i set these to 0?.

Hi again. i have been searching how to disable core parking and found some tutorial by altering the regedit. will this course problems such as BSOD or other kinds of problems?.

Hi. Tested the disable core packing and noticed a performance increase in AC4 and the stuttering has stopped which happened from time to time. Now my PC 100% and waht it should have been. Why do the not just do this in the 1st place as cant see it been that much of power drain.
