I used to have an MSDN subscription which gave me access to among other things windows XP.

My subscription has now expired but according to the microsoft FAQ http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/aa948864.aspx I can still legitimately use the software and keys provided to me under the subscription.

My question is does anyone know what version of XP is supplied under the MSDN subscription as I've lost my original download file. Is it OEM, Retail or Volume?

It's none of the above I don't think, from memory it can be activated on upto 10 PC's so I'm not sure if an OEM or Retail CD image will work. Might though

As far as I'm aware, you can still use it on the terms it was originally provided for.
i.e. for development purposes, not reading emails and playing games.

It is retail, although there are volume editions for download as well if you had a volume key

So it looks like I need to get a copy of a retail CD then!
