asking because ive just bought one, bit late to ask now i know but work gave us £500 in vouchers for a certain electronic retailer and the msi is the only one they stock.
i have the msi 970 at the min and i really like it but ideally wanted the golden phoenix 1070 or amp extreme 1070.
so any msi 1070 owners out there? if so how are they

If you mean the Gaming X model with the Twin Frozr cooler then I love them. Not the absolutely fastest but virtually silent. I had a 970 one and now a 1080.

I have one and its great :) currently top scoring 1070 in some of the benchmarking threads on here. Mine overclocks over 2100mhz if you can keep the temps low. For everyday usage I just stick with a +100mhz overclock on the stock fan profile, fans stay really quiet, temps low to mid 70s and over 2000mhz clock speed. Out of the box boost around 1925mhz.

Memory clocks really well on mine as well, I run +500 for every day use but it can bench much higher too.

Enjoy it, I doubt you'll be disappointed :)

I have the amp extreme....fantastic card.....massive but if you got the room would recommend it. runs cool and hardly hear it.

idles at 22 degrees and goes to about 44 playing world of tanks and about 54 playing battlefield 1. fan speed is 52% with a custom fan profile.

hope this helps.

sorry just realised you all ready have a msi....I had the msi 970 before this and it was an awesome card....caant see the 1070 not being awesome as well :)

If there is one thing I don't like it's the Gaming App, You need it to change LED's or even turn them off, The card does not even save the colour....

Oh and the gaming app interferes with my MSI Afterburner so I've uninstalled it.

I'm on the El cheapo msi armor and I think it's fantastic so the higher models can only be better!

Not proven stable yet but was gaming for 3 hours flat out on Bf1 last night at 2.1Ghz core at top temp was 64 degrees. Boosted to about 1940mhz out the box and would settle at 1911mhz

I like that mine doesn't have all the flashy LED's and stuff but would have liked a backplate but the price difference from what I paid I take not having a backplate.
