MSI 280x Gaming Artifacts

I've just purchased a MSI 280x Gaming.

It arrived yesterday, and I proceeded with beginning to mine straight away on 13.12 drivers (the latest) stock 1040/1500 (also tried 1020/1500) and stock voltage. Temperatures are at 80C when under full load, about 60C in games.

I am getting driver crashes and artifacts, even on the desktop after running Furmark for 5 mins (which ran fine). The artifacts continue until the driver crashes, until it all goes back to normal.

I have removed and reinstalled the latest drivers (13.12) several times, to no improvement.

Can anyone recommend what to look at next?

Don't run Furmark to stress test GPU's, ever! :) its been known to kill GPU's, any GPU. they are not designed to run at the levels Furmark runs them at and nothing outside Furmark ever will, not even close.

Use Heaven or Valley

How is it in games? (without running Furmark Prior)

I've only had a quick go of BF4 (30 mins or so) and it seemed to be fine. I just leave it mining as I'm in a busy few weeks of uni work at the moment, so don't have much gaming time.

I find Gaming unstable right after mining. reboot after mining and all is well. :)
