Hi,

Close to pressing but on this monitor from ocuk,

MSI 32" MAG 321UP QD-OLED 3840x2160 165Hz 0.03ms A-Sync HDMI 2.1 HDR Widescreen Gaming Monitor

Had my gigabyte m32u for 3 years and ready for a jump to OLED.

What are people's thoughts on this monitor ? Seems a great buy for £799!

Thanks Ben

I've been looking at this too, but seen quite a few complaints that it's not g-sync compatible, which would be a colossal deal breaker for me... It looks like MPG monitors take firmware updates but the MAG versions don't, which is a bizarre thing to leave off any premium, modern monitor IMO.

Ended up going with the 32" Odyssey OLED G80SD instead. I managed to get a good deal with Black Friday discounts on another site, £170 more than the MSI one you linked, but it has a lot more going for it.

I've done more digging since I posted a couple of hours ago and the MAG version seems to be widely lambasted as a poor OLED option. The MPG version is the on you want, but it's not on sale... and it's very expensive at just under £1,200.

Thanks for your replies and info.

The difference is £400 which is slot.

G-sync is not something I use as a console gamer so I won't miss that.

I'm sure MSI back tracked on the firmware updates and now also release them for the 321UP model. Looking at the support section there a firmware listed as 4/11/24 version FW.014

It still uses the 3rd generation panel like the more expensive version.

I believe the usb c power delivery is only 15w rather than 90w on the more expensive model 321urx.

Really tempted to pull the trigger wish I could see them side by side.

Maybe wait till black Friday maybe the more expensive one will drop down closer to it.

I have the 27" version and looked at the MAG and MPG versions. There isn't any difference in panel and yes the MPG has USB-C rated at 90W but the MAG version can get firmware updates now

Just brought one the other week having also owned the gigabyte lets just say im verry happy

I'll be keeping an eye on the 321UP price as well towards the end of this month. Hopefully it gets closer to £700 than it is now. I have a 100w multiport USB C charger so I don't need one in the monitor itself :)

Yeah I'm gonna hold off ordering untill black Friday just incase it drops. Already a fantastic price though.

Great good to hear. Can I ask how you find text looks on the monitor ? Does it look worse than the gigabyte.

Thanks
Text has been fine. To be honest i never had a problem with text on the gigabyte but the msi is a next level monitor its super clear would have prefered it cheaper but hey its got to be the best 4k oled out there for price

mine works fine with g-sync turn on. OLED can suffer from VRR flickering but iv only noticed it on one game mainly in the menu but it didn't bother me
