After getting excited about this card I then realised I needed to check the dimensions. Especially as I wish to keep both front fans.

From the MSI site the card is 257mm long, and the two aux power connections stick out of the back, so add even more length.

Has anyone got this card fitted and able to post a picture?

Also asking about the SG-05 as I would consider that as next system. And even though I've seen Gigabyte 5850 pictures, I haven't found the measurements for the card on Gigabytes site.

In the SG03 you have 312mm of depth (don't forget there's the front fan to take into consideration there) and in the SG05 you have 276mm.

I found with my SG05 that the HD5850 is about as big as you can possibly go. It was a very tight fit. That was a reference card so you need to figure out if the MSI one you're looking at is shorter or longer than the reference model.

I think it would just about fit, but don't hold me to that and it would certainly take some squeezing to get it all in if it did.

For any future searches.

The MSI Twin Frozr 5850 does fit in a SG-03 without the need to replace bottom fan (if have two front case fans) with a slimmer than 25mm variety. Although front cover is a bit spring loaded now.

I had to change position of auxiliary power cables to drop instead of coming up from below. So the arch in the auxiliary power cables push against fan surround instead of the central plastic piece, which put pressure on fan motor halting fan rotation.
