Looking to get one of these 2 cards shortly, basicaly im looking for someone to tell me which one is better (money no issue).. having problem because the lighting is more exspensive but the frozr has many many more chipset features and the lightining doesnt have Dual-link DVI listed but the frozr does,

please help

The lightning has a bios for higher voltages meaning it can potentially clock higher than most of the other standard 680's. If you put a waterblock on it, this will keep temps lower and then allow for better clocks.

You need to ask yourself how much knowledge of GPU's do you have or will have and what your budget will allow.

Sorry, must have missed that somewhere between the beers, i think i was reading from a different website,.. i really dont have a great deal of knowledge when it come to gpu's, all i know is u get what u pay for, i dont overclock, so with that in mind is the lightning still better?

Since both are factory overclocked I dont think there is much difference except asthetically , From what I gather there is little benefit from the cover .
If you were comparing the stock msi 680 to one of these then there is a debate .
But if your gona put a waterblock on either frozr of lightning then you might as well buy a cheaper stock cooler 680 and overclock that .
I Got the fozr and am quite happy with it . its an excellent design in its own right , I suspect it will be fazed out and given way to the lightnings , for having 2 versions of a high end custom card with two factory lines seems inefficient
Hopefully ill get a second twin frozr before that happens
