MSI 6850 OC

I have said card.

Mine runs very cool, tops 65/66 degrees.

Mine also came at 800/1000, overclocked now to 850/1100 for day to day use,
but will go past 950 on the core.

The dip switch, as far as I can tell, performance mode unlocks voltage control in MSI
Afterburner.

I would suggest installing Afterburner and setting up some fan profiles.

+1 msi afterburner is a great piece of software... you can overclock in it, watch your temps and even record gameplay

my XFX one (similar design to the MSI) runs at around 34c idle and around 70 load with the fan set manually to 48% all the time, also overclocked from the standard 800/1000 to 875/1150

You shouldn't be hitting 95C, I have the same card and mine tops out at around 60-65C as the second poster said. Then again, I do have an internal 120mm fan (mounted the ghetto way with cable ties) pointed at the card, which I would recommend doing for the sake of 5 minutes work and £5. Getting a new card soon anyway though :)

Removed heatsink applied new paste and refitted now running at 938 core and 1133 mem nice and stable at 1.174v not went above 81c with fan running at manual 48%
