Hi peeps Im stuck with an issue with my new MSI 6950 after i have installed it my pc doesnt post ??? I dont get any error beeps with it installed or without... The motherboard just cycles through LED checks and thats it???

I tried it in me in laws pc and it would post and get to windows loading screen but wouldnt run as his psu is not powerful enough??
Please help????

Also my 9800gt works fine and the pc runs normally...

so i know the 6950 is fine.. seems there may be an issue with either a motherboard setting or something like

this is what im running:

Asus P67 Sabertooth
Intel i5 2500k
8GB Corsair Vengeance
OCZ Agility3 60gb
was running an old pny nvidia 9600gt works fine
PSU XFX 750W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver':):(

done the cmos clear and tried both pci 6 cables and can confirm they both work when switch between each one with my 9800gt...
so back to the drawing board, thanks though

Does the cpu fan come on and stay on or does it go off after a few seconds.

Is there a double-seven-segment display showing a HEX post code ?

nothings posts on the monitor.. the monitor stays on amber...
the fans come on and stay on....
also have tried molex adaptors over the pci-e cables to rule that out...
no joy :0(

have also tried booting with no card and i get the same response from the system, its like it doesnt recognise the card at alll..
how strange

also there are no lights on the card coming on at all, not sure if there is supposed to be?

the computer goes into a state of trying to reboot... when the 6950 is plugged in...

already tried that mate.. no lightey no likey
doesnt work :0(
im now thinking the card may not be seated correctly a few look to be having this issue with this board maybe the fat heatsink all over the board wont allow it to it right

I thought i had solved it with the card not seating correctly, but have removed the motherboard cooler to enable to get the card to sit properly.

Still it wont work..

Just seems that this card will not work with this board and is incompatible...
could this really be true?

tried new psu- no difference, card works in another machine fine.
updated and reset cmos, latest bios.
system hangs like there is no card present.

very odd
