Hi there,

I was hoping for some advice please. I bought an MSI 780GTX from ocuk on 1st Jan 2014. I was playing a game and unfortunately the screen went black.

I have tried:

- putting the 780GTX in my 2nd pc - still a black screen
- using my old 6970 in my main pc - works fine
- using the hdmi port instead of the DVI - still a black screen
- reinstalled the latest drivers - still a black screen
- tried in friend's pc, who has a GTX960 - still a black screen
- tried different 12v lanes - same thing
- tried all three pcie lanes / slots - still a black screen
- Used the onboard graphics to look in device manager to see if card is visable - it wasnt.
- Ive had a good look at the card, cant see anything wrong with it. Both fans spin when it's seated.

Does anyone else have any suggestions or should i RMA? I have never had to RMA before. Is it best to RMA to ocuk or direct to MSI?

System is:
mobo: Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
CPU: 2500K
RAM 16GB Ripjaws Z

Thanks for looking

Looks like your card has failed. If you've tried it in multiple PCs and it has the same effect, then something is wrong with the card. My 9800GT died suddenly and left me with a black screen and fans at full speed.

As far as RMAing is concerened, I've never had to so I wouldn't know what the best course of action is.
