Afternoon all,
I've just put this system together (first build from scratch)
Asus ATI Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail
MSI 790FX-GD70 AMD 790FX (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 PCI-Express Sound Card
Corsair P128 128GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM
OCZ Platinum AMD Edition 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel
Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter
Silverstone TJ07
PC Power And Cooling Silencer 750W
Razer tarantula keyboard
Generic Microsoft mouse
Assembled it all, powered up - no problems so far.
Installed Windows 7 64-bit on the SSD - all good.
Everything seems to be working.
EXCEPT.
Windows cannot see the F1 hard drive (which it could see during installation).
This makes me do a reboot to try and detect and configure it.
On rebooting I get the MSI splash screen, then it goes straight to "Loading Windows". None of the usual BIOS info or anything is showing up. The keyboard has power when the initial MSI screen is on, but hitting delete doesn't get me into setup. The keyboard then loses power until windows is loaded up.
Any idea how I can force my way into the bios?
Cheers,
moon
