Anyone know anything about this msi 7950 card? It appears to be the little brother of the legendary msi 7970. I'm just wondering why the hell the fan is in the middle and if its been gimped somehow maybe with locked voltage or a crappy non reference pcb or something else im not aware of. Answers on a postcard plox!

7950 ref coolers have the center fan for what ever reason.

It's an msi AMD card, it will have voltage control.

Basically its supposed to pull from the rear, over the vrms and then pushed out the back, more push pull then traditional blower.

So many sex puns in one sentence :(

The novelty of having the little brother of the 7970 is appealing i won't lie. :D

Can anyone find a picture of the gpu shroud taken off of this card?

ooo Intresting, Could be a Single slot gpu if under water....

I wonder how this would perform along side my DCII 7970 o.O

I found some pics guys of what this card looks like underneath. I have to say the cooler looks like a poor mans reference cooler. :D However im not really worried about what it looks like too much just want good performance. I'd likely want two exhaust type blowers anyway with my setup.

The cooler is supposed to be quieter than the typical reference AMD cooler but perform slightly worse. The vrms don't have any heatsink contact which is a worry. I suppose i could always stick my accelero on there if needed though.

The main thing is the card appears to have voltage control on the core and memory, something not even some of the more expensive 7950's have.

My twin AC's are sitting in a box doing nothing because of those bad boy Ice-Q coolers.:D

Yeah i have to admit i would like two of those tommy. The problem is ill need two different oc tools. Decisions decisions.
