I've installed my new MSI 7970 and for the mean time, only using 1 screen as the resolution through the HDMI lead does not fill my 24" monitor, regardless of what I try. I get a 2" black border.

The HDMI on my 22" is fine through a DVI-D > HDMI adapter, but not when using the HDMI lead to my primary 24". DVI-D is fine on the 24".

What would cause this and since my card only has 1 DVI-D port, would it be better to use a mini-display port to DVI adapter or the HDMI?

In CCC, look under "My Digital Flat-Panels" and locate the page for "Scaling Options (Digital Flat-Panel)". Set the slider to 0% and you should find the black bars around your HDMI screen disappear.

oh, nice one. Thanks - Sorry, this is my first AMD card, wish I'd changed sooner.

What would you recommend to the adapter option or will another HDMI be ok once this border has been sorted?
