Just updated the BIOS on my MSI 865PE Neo2 -Platinum.

After updating the BIOS the system fails to boot / activate monitor or even beep.

Just realised it was the wrong BIOS, Doh !.

I've tried putting the correct BIOS in a floppy & pressing CTRL - HOME when powering up but the fans just spin with no life.

help  anyone any ideas how to fix it apart from hitting it with a hammer, thanks...

You've got to get it to boot to at least see the floppy drive.
If you've corrupted the boot block in the BIOS chip, this is hard.

I suppose you have tried clearing the CMOS?

If you get no joy, the best way may be here.

its an antique, cant find a link.
overclockers may have a b-grade msi 865 for £59, a bit much for this i recon though.
They have a nforce3 for £11, hmm, how much can a 1.6 sempron clock by ?, my Northwood ran fine at 3.45ghz, dunno what do...
