Hi guys,

A friend of mine asked me if I could help with over clocking his Athlon II 250 cpu. I made some adjustments to the FSB, CPU multiplier and RAM ratio and got it to boot into windows at 3.5Ghz (from 3.0Ghz) and stock RAM speed. However when I ran IBT it fails everytime after 3-4 passes. My next thought was to increase the CPU voltage to try and get it stable but it seems like I was unable to change the CPU voltage from the 'Auto' setting.

tl;dr - Has anyone else with this board been able to change the CPU voltage? Is it a mobo/bios issue? Do those chips not allow changing of the CPU voltage? Any help appreciated!

Thanks for your suggestion nightmare.

Seems it might be because of the keyboard that was being used. I've unplugged their usb wireless keyboard (no numpad) and plugged in a usb wired keyboard with a numpad and it seems to have changed from Auto to the lowest default which was around 1.4V so I've been able to change it for now. I'll do some more experimenting in a minute but this might be it.

Edit: Can't confirm whether or not it was the wireless keyboard as I can't get it back to the Auto setting but plugging in the usb wired keyboard does seem to have allowed me to change it so thanks! I've been able to take it from 3Ghz at 1.4V to 3.7Ghz at 1.47V.
