My Son's PC has started to show signs of flaking out. The board is nothing to shout about - Gigabyte G41 chipset, socket 775 and with a Xeon X5460 we did back in march. The machine works ok just keeps crashing out hard everytime he loads up a game.
It will crash hard? No overclocks, the board cant do it anyway as its real bargain basement stuff.
Decided to sack it and grab another board and cpu, been looking at this for him:
MSI 970 Gaming
+
Amd FX4300
Will get both from Overclockers. Any thoughts on this MSI board? reviews suggest it does the job pretty well. Everything else in his pc appears to be ok. Did a bit of component testing and narrowed it down to the xeon and the motherboard.
