Anyone try out the new 7.2 bios for the board?.....txt file says only cpu microcode updates is that all there is in it....read somewhere that it supports the Quad cores. I still get either blank screen or corrupt display when I boot some times with my HIS X1900XT ICE

I've gone to 7.2 bios too, I now tend to leave the system on because of this issue with this board and my HIS X1900XT.
I have not noticed it since upgrading the bios though. I will switch it off tonight and see if it does it in the morning, as it only happens to me on cold boots when its been powered down for a period of time.

This display prob over the last few days is happening everytime I switch it on takes a reset or two to get a good boot....this is when its at stock or at 3.2 have to say I am very tempted to throw the MSI board away and go with a new Nforce board when they come out.....my other Conroe system is on a Intel 965 board and apart from the fact it won't let you oc in any way it is stable and boots rights every time(looks very good on 8ft projector screen)

My display corruption at boot now seems to have gone. I have switched it off on 2 consecutive nights and it has started fine both times, the following morning.

I have taken the HIS card out a few times as it has become noisey and fiddling with the fan quietens it down for a few days. Maybe there was contact problem on one of the pins causing the corruption? Do you have a molex connecter plugged into the socket next to slot 1? I think its for crossfire but I have one plugged in just for stability maybe plugging it in might help?

I think the problem lies more with the card rather than the board, although I think this bios was released just for the sake of it, rather than actually fixing something. Still cant warm boot when overclocked and others say this bios makes a mess of raid. I'm still stuck @ 375 fsb but others seem to be getting 420 at a push. Until MSI can fix this board I can see lots of people replacing it.

I see you are using OCZ memory. Few people have got this board to even boot with that brand, maybe that may be causing you grief?

This problem has been wreaking my head the last few days....it has booted the last 3 times without issue....to be honest I use the HTPC for mail, web etc....this one is mainly for gaming...the OCZ ram worked no probs apart from the crappy memory dividers this board has....don't get me wrong when this works its great but compared to the MSI 865PE board I had running a 2.4c oc'd to 3.0 from day one this board is anything from 100% reliable...i'm really trying to like it but anymore trouble and it will have to go.

7.2 bios also slackens the memory timings no matter what you enter in the bios. I have entered 4,4,4,12 but cpu-z and everest now report 4,5,6,12. This has made now difference to my max fsb though :(
