can someone with this card please tell me if both fans do not spin until it hits the temperature, was it 54c? or just general use like looking at websites 1 fans spins and 1 doesnt?
thanx a lot

Front fan spins in line with GPU temp. Back fan in line with VRM temp.

But really is the card working fine in your games? If so then no problem exists.

i havnt bought it yet 8pack lol just some site say zero fan speed up to 54c and some sites say only 1 fan spins at low useage. how about when the pc is idle and the screen auto turns off do both fans stop then like my msi 290 does?

I have the 6g. Fans seem to turn on at 60c. Under that they are both off. Not really observed just one fan ever running....but I don't tend to look at them often.

I have one on a rig upstairs at OCUK and its working pretty much exactly as I say.

VRM and Core temps dictating fans spinning and speed.

Come on man if the fans spin or not cant be a deal breaker!! But yes if load is low and temp is low they dont spin!!!

Just checked mine - and they are both off. Just a bit of surfing etc at the moment. I do have a corsair 540 air case so ambient temps should be reasonable.

Some people focus on stuff that many dont I guess.

Tbh I'd rather have them spinnibg all the time!

just i leave my pc on a night time when i sleep 8pack and i dont want to hear the fans going lol

At stock its quiet, shows as 0 rpm on msi afterburner. Now i havent looked into the case to see if any fan is moving on it at all, (too lazy). But on that setting it idles around 28c. But i prefer to use a 1-1 fan ratio on my gpu's. Drops idles by 3c but keeps things a lot lower when gaming.

This is a very very quiet card, 100% fan speed and a 1489 mhz core overclock, (+160) it barely gets above 60c. Fans on it are so quiet. My old windforce 780's in sli were much louder at 60%.

Are you really stable in games at that clock? Damn I've lucked out. Having to bring it down it 1380 to be stable.

Bf4 seems stable with a high clock such as yours but pcars stresses the card unlike bf4 and heaven does. It'll freeze randomly.

Morning(ish!)

I'm seriously weighing up this card vs the palit super jetstream and trying to watch videos and personal experiences on things like fan speed/coil whine and so on to try and make an informed choice after the FuryX disappointment (like a lot of folks are I guess!)

I was wondering if you could tell me what speed the fan ramps to during 'rigorous' gaming please?

Currently I'm rocking a 290x vapor-x and when it hits 75 deg C @ 1440p/144hz it's normally 2300-2700rpm which sounds like a small dustbuster being used and the EMI starts affecting voice comms a little.
That's a triple fan solution with smaller blades though.

Thanks :)

I don't actually run any overclocks for gaming, benchmarks only. With the above fan curve it gets to 64c playing bf4, fan at 65%, (will check for sure later). Noise wise its a very quiet card even with the fan set manually at 80%. For benching with 100% fan speed, it is audible but its certainly not obtrusive.
