Hello,

I already posted it on tech support but thought it would be a good idea to ask here as well.

I received my parts today and wanted to upgrade my gaming PC, turned out PC was not booting at all  I did spotted a FF code on my mobo LED, does not matter what I do...use cpu/ram/gpu only/1 stick only/ram swap/ etc etc i does not go past FF code. I used my old parts and nothing as well. Tested new ones on my old mobo and all turns out to be okay. Is there any1 else with this mobo who can not get POST due to constant FF debug code? Thanks

typically, FF is the code you see when the board is running normally after POST. I like to think that this stands for Fully Functional. This is the same for Gigabyte too iirc.

Unfortunately, in my experience, I've found that boards with this code also show it when they refuse to start the POST, I think this stands for Fully ****** because the board probably needs to be RMA'd at that point.

Since it's not always the board's fault I'd try the usual first, check for shorts, check CPU pins, try out of case, test connections, reseat RAM & cards, try minimal connections (one stick of RAM, power & nothing else) etc.

I already tried all of the above with poor results, but there is something which came into my mind. Does this mainboard requires BIOS update to work with AMD Piledriver? On the other hand I tested it on my old phenom and it did not worked as well.

It's difficult to answer that question with any certainty since it's impossible to know how long ago the board left the factory and how long it sat in someone's stock room.

The Piledriver BIOS is version 11.13 released Oct 2012
