MSI Afterburner Fan Speed 100%

I have a GTX 1080 cooled by a Kraken G12 with an Arctic F9 PWM (connected to the card fan header) fan blowing on the card.

When booting up Afterburner sets the fan to 100% even though it is set to 40% and I have to move the slider to 100% then back down to 40%.

Any ideas why it's doing this?

I'm on 4.6.0 still, wonder if it's a bug in the new release.

Have you tried reinstalling or try an earlier version?

Are you using a fan curve as well, or fixed speed?

Is AB set to apply overclocking on startup?

Have you set profiles on the shortcut buttons?

Moving the slider itself probably has no effect as you have to click apply. Maybe try experimenting with those.

This is a fixed speed profile, not sure how a fan curve reacts.
AB is set to apply on start-up.
Profiles are set to short cuts.
I do press apply after moving the slider or what I have started doing was applying a second profile which is the same settings except a fan [rofile of 100% then re-apply the 40% one.

Didn't get a chance to try un-installing/downgrading yesterday.

Do you save to a profile after clicking apply?

It won't if you don't.

Of course, that's why re-applying the profile works.

Adding some screenshots here to illustrate the issue.

This is at boot up, you can see Afterburner is setting the PWM to 40% but the fan stays at max RPM:

This is after applying a 100% fan profile and switching back to the 40% profile:

I've uninstalled and re-installed AB. Any thoughts?
