I have a powercolour r390 That iddles hot because the fans do not kick in until the temps are at 60 apparently? I have applied a small overclock 1100 and a fan profile that has greatly improved idle temps from 47 to 34. But i have a problem the fan profile only works when afterburner is open when i close the program the fans stop again but the clocks and power hike remain i am using 4.2.0 ....Any ideas??

yes you need to have afterburner running all the time... why is that a problem?

No its not a problem . I have never used my own fan profile before, and find it strange that an overclock will run with afterburners closed but not a fan profile! But as long as its not something i am doing alls good.. Thanks:D

Id just leave ab open, like you I have a card with zero fan technology too. But to keep lower idle temps I prefer a custom fan profile. Makes virtually zero noise anyway as the cards fans are so quiet.
