Anyone else think this little tool is gr8,? simpler than rivertune ,
lets u overvolt, got my 4890 up to 980mhz,at least 1100nhz memory
an my card is a sapphire!!gr8 stuff
Best gpu o/c tool i hav used yet

run crysis at those overclocks and wait(within seconds/minute) for the bsod.
can't get hardly any overclock working on my gpu(4890) with crysis on.

sorry , slight exageration, finished both crysis and crysis warhead, and playing crysis warhead (again!) on 970/1090 no crashes bsod s quite smooth, nothin lower than 30fps on 1280 settings

i just tried those settings @ 1280 but slightly lower overclock then yours (940 and 1020) and it worked, but when i adjust to 1920 all max'd out with 2xAA within seconds it frooze up and crashed. i could be wrong but i think the card is not as stressed at a lower res, i mean i did not play the game for long, only about 5mins but it was stable for that period at 1280.

have you tried furmark with that overclock? i think it might be my mobo letting me down, because others have reached nice OC's like your self.

i tried furmark with core set to 980ghz. it was stable with 1or2 artifacts(small dots appearing)so i guess that was max, so i backed off 10ghz and it was fine, like i said, i played crysis at 970ghz/1090ghz,for 2 hours no probs, when i checked afterburner when i had finished i had only got max temp was 70*c, that was with 1350v set, again all tested at 1280 with 2xAA

Different models oc differently. The worst overclocking 4890s are the Vapor-X models, excluding the Atomic version.

MSI Afterburner isn't a complete solution. It can't get the core any higher than CCC.
If only someone could combine the functionality of MSI AF, CCC and AMD GPU Tool into one programme.

They have, it's called GPU Tool from TechPowerup forum. But the author Wizzard is taking his time updating it.....
