Hi people
Will this board be good enough for the next gen of ryzens coming out in the summer?
I know it's sensible to hold off with purchases but I'm getting desperate so am thinking of getting a cheap ryzen to see me through and using this board.
I'm not looking to overclock all cores, just use the default single core boosts.
Thanks in advance

most likely it will not run the 16 core cpu, maybe the 12 cores if lucky. Its hard to say 100%

Its the best of the b450 boards has good vrm on it. we talking about the msi b450 gaming pro carbon.

id suspect there be new boards to go along with the new line of processors unless they expect everyone to go buy an x470 or something.

That’s a pretty big statement, got a source? AMD have been quite specific about its plans for AM4 support timescales and it’s CPU roadmap including the drop to 7nm, nothing about that has me looking at my launch x370 board and thinking it needs to go anywhere for a 3rd gen upgrade.

the MSI b450i ITX board has better VRMs than the MSI b450 pro carbon ac.
msi b450i has 6 true phases, whereas the b450 pro carbon ac has 4 phases with double mosfets+chokes

Thanks for that, I'm building an itx build now so I went for the MSI AC one. Hopefully it works with the new Ryzen cpu's in case I feel the need to upgrade one day.
