Because its not their top-end gaming machine, the 680M laptop is over 2k.

670M is pretty good card and with this cashback makes it about £1300 which is a lot less than 2k.

Though I'd personally buy the AMD 7970M machine for 1k.

Except for the heat and noise which is often a drawback of gaming laptops. I game a lot on a Dell m14x r1 and it still plays every game I throw at it with fair performance. (helped by only having 1600x900 due to its 14.1" size) I gather the new Dell m14x r2 has much improved graphics... such a shame you can't upgrade laptops as easily as desktops most of the time!

Loved the unexpected keyboard/system light changes in XCom! (lights go blue on your turn, switch to red on the enemy's turn!)

I use my gaming laptop as a desktop replacement away from home - have a keyboard + mouse, etc. to connect upto it and either use the built in panel + a Z stand or a desktop monitor - lot easier than lugging a full PC around.
