MSI Disable LED

Is there a way to disable the MSI 980Ti LED without using the Gaming app?

I have had a quick google and you can disable it through the Nvidia Experience software.

I have tried that but it seems the LED Visualizer in GeForce Experience only works on Nvidia reference cards.

Cant you disable it with the gaming app and then uninstall the app?

Thats how most other manufacturers controlling software works.

The gaming app has to run at every startup for it to disable the LED.
