MSI is launching a new software feature today, Dragon Eye!

MSI Dragon Eye allows you to watch a YouTube video or Twitch Stream while playing a game simultaneously. Simply add a link or stream to the Dragon Eye application and select the size, position, volume and transparency and start gaming. With a few hotkeys you can start/pause your video or set the volume.

Edit - Only works on MSI All In One PC's or Desktops so avoid until they make it open.

This is stupid, Either play the game or watch something instead, you can't multi task in this way, Pointless bloat.

A bit harsh Nasha, the OP was only putting it up there as something he thought noteworthy for others to take a look at.

Also my lad does this all the time....he watches videos on one screen while playing games on another....I cant do it but some people seem to be able to. It also doesnt affect his gameplay as he is quite high up in the CS:GO rankings.

Each to their own I suppose but I dont think its a stupid or pointless bloat.

Just saying
:)

Does it need an MSI mobo or GPU or can anyone use it?

It does say that its for MSI Desktops and gaming laptops. Maybe they tie it down to MSI in some way?

EDIT - Just installed it on work PC and it says that it will only run on MSI products....it must check the product codes within the firmware somewhere. Shame as I could find it useful as I only have one 27" monitor.

Ho Hum!

:(

Sounds like a nice little application for people who enjoy mining in EVE Online but only have access to a single monitor.
With an average corporation mining op often lasting around 4 hours it'll be useful to have an overlay to watch streams on as the in-game browser lacks decent functionality for video playback.

I'm not interested in the slightest but as above, my lad would explode if it worked with Evga, he nearly always games with YT running in the background, he can spend ages doing MC/Spore and loads of other crafting stuff using YT guides, playing daft user gamer songs.

There's nothing wrong with the OP putting it up, this section is for gpu news and it is news, I'm just saying a lot of the features of the software are stupid IMO.

I could see this app being useful for those wanting help to get past a seemingly impossible hurdle, with the "run through" on part of their screen.

I just think it's a bit odd, If I need to do that I just alt/tab out of the game, You don't really need software to do it.

As for those that want to watch videos while playing a game, All I can think is it must be one boring game if it can't even hold your attention while it's running.

In some instances it seems a good idea, but considering I have an MSI GPU and MSI motherboard and it doesn't work at all then it's a load of crap.

Almost pointless?
