Hi,

Only had my 980ti about 2months. I have been running it at 109% with +180 on the core to get about 1480mhz boost. It seemed to be fine for a few weeks with only the odd crash (only been playing fallout 4 so just put it down to this)

However I installed my free copy of Rainbow Six and it was crashing straight away as soon I tried to do benchmark.

If I revert back to total stock and just leave the power at 109% it seems to be ok. Fallout 4 will purple screen and CTD Crashing the Driver, Rainbow six seems to purple or bright green screen and just hang there forcing a reboot.

I tried dropping clocks down to +100 and it still crashes. Here is a creen shot of the GPU-Z running just 109% all seems ok to me, temps etc are fine latest driver Win 10 64 all up to date.

Hope you can help,

Does it crash at stock? If not then you simply might have a potato that can't be overclocked much. If it crashes at stock then you have a reason to raise an RMA.

best to have everything at stock, cpu / ram / gpu, then see if still get any issues if not, then slowly increase gpu clock,

i was experiencing display driver crashes, thinking it was the GPU overclocked, my cpu when overclocked didnt play nice with my ram speed 3000mhz, causing display driver crash, as soon put everything at stock and slowly work my way through, figured it out

Yeah I see what your saying but has been solid for weeks with no issue. Dropped GPU back to stock and seemed ok, not crashing right away anyway. Ive now got the core clock at +120 and the GPU volts and +20. This gives me about 1460mhz boost clock and is not instantly crashing games. Strange how it was fine at stock volts with about +160 on the core for at least 30+ hours of gaming and countless hours of normal use.

What is the maximum safe voltage for GPU core on 980ti's assuming temps are ok?

Thanks.
