this laptops cooling to be honest has been brilliant until the last month..
I have been told to make sure it is not a software issue so i have done as much as i could with the software part of my laptop, with a factory reset followed by VGA/EC Firmware/Bios Updates straight after the factory reset and still getting very high temperatures just sitting on idle with low cpu usage, i am getting 70+ just with browsing youtube and facebook and sometimes with no applications running and on high games im getting 92+ with max out fans. i am just curious to see what you guys might think it is. the fans are spinning fine it just seems to be when im checking how much cpu is being used for example right now 20% is 70c and that is just typing this topic.

i think since its not the fans spinning and i dont think its software now it could be possibly need new thermal pasting even if its only been 5months in? i have been playing quite endlessly.. im just curious to see if anyone might have any opinions

Firstly is it the Cpu or the gpu thats running hot , 92 degrees on the cpu isn't unusual for a gaming laptop.

However 20% usage from the cpu while just in a web browser seems a little high tbh , whilst writing this i'm on 2% usage on an oldish 4790k and thats with a dozen or so active task bar applications running in the background.
