MSI Gen3 Upgrade?

Hi guys, currently got my key on the new MSI Z68A-GD65-G3 Intel Z68: http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-188-MS

I'm just wondering if it is worth upgrading to this motherboard now whilst the promotion is on?

Just wondering if i will notice any gains in performance over my current Motherboard:Asus P6X58D-E
I notice the the PCI slots are spaced out quite nicely, this will aid in better temps i would imagine if i was to use SLI?

You will need a new CPU for sure and probably new memory too - are you aware of that?

Yup, the motherboard you linked is an Intel socket 1155 board - second generation Core i5/i7. Your CPU is socket 1366, first generation i7

A motherboard upgrade would necessitate a CPU upgrade as well, and a £150 board plus a £170+ CPU would barely grant you anything extra, unless you spend your days trying to get good scores on benchmarks.

If heat is an issue, look at a better graphics solution- those 480s are mini radiators.
