Msi gs70 6qe help

I just got myself a new laptop thought I had made a great choice but seriously beginning to doubt in my choice. Been using it a couple of days now put some games on had a little problem with gta v while I was playing my ram filled right and caused system to lock up so i thought i would just update gpu drivers.
But no mater what they don't work. Done all the work around like selecting gtx 970 in global setting and also adding game exe to nvcp. None worked always used Intel gpu.
So after a bit more looking around it seams you can only use Msi oem gpu drivers as nvidia does not support hybrid power that is on Msi laptops.
So how are you ment to update your gpu drivers when games Come out.if it's a case of waiting for Msi to do it I think hell would freeze over before the bring out new drivers the current one for mine is 353.74. Nvidia is up to 358.50

It's clear something has gone wrong. I'd suggest that you start again with a fresh install of windows and then update everything before you start installing your games.

See how you go from there.

I don't know where the whole MSI OEM driver business has come from but I update my GS70 directly through Geforce Experience and I've not had any problem with switching between the IGP and dedicated graphics card.

hello hugsheal I have done a full msi factory reset and still the same. can install drivers but none of them except 353.74 work optimus does not switch gpu stays on intel.
have done the global settings. best thing is if I right click on desktop short cut it does not give option to use graphics processor with any driver only 353.74.
beginning to get really annoyed.
also if I cant update my drivers I cant take advantage of dx12 games as they come out because with the driver 353.74 only supports dx11.1

All working now been in touch with Msi support they could not reproduce what was happening and told me to try 358.50 which would not work the other day but all of a sudden they are working. Also noticed when you right click on game short cut mainly steam games you can't pick which gpu to use if you delete short cut then create a new one from the game exe it works
