MSI GT72 2QE-682UK - does it come with an IPS display?

Does anyone know if the MSI GT72 2QE-682UK comes with an IPS display?

I read a review on PCPro stating that the review models come with a TN panel but that the final ones come with IPS panels, does anyone know?

been told by overclockers that it is a TN panel and not a IPS shame that has put me off buying one

That is really disappointing as I was looking at the MSI instead of the Asus G751.

Hi all

Just to clarify on this, the GT72 as mentioned above comes with a PLS screen.

Here is some info about both :

"IPS (In Plane Switching) was introduced for touch monitors to take over twisted nematic monitors ( TN ) by Hitachi. IPS screen features include
Crystal clear and enhanced color spectrum and resolution
Better viewing angles. Though IPS have been quite popular later Samsung introduced PLS ( Plane to Line switching ) monitors. These are brighter with same high viewing angles. It is touch resistant. The IPS and PLS monitors cant be differentiated without much examination but they are superior over the TN monitors"

The PLS screen is a super high quality WIDE ANGLE VIEW screen, and is NOT inferior to the IPS screen.
