Anyone else ordered this laptop recently?

After waiting more than a month for this to arrive i have started to wonder if its actually worth waiting for over the other models...i kinda need a replacement for my old laptop quite urgently but would want as close as possible in terms of price and spec.

I did have a look at this but im really not so sure about that nvidia card... i had bad experiences with stability/drivers on my old laptop (gx700 & 8600m gt) and dont wish for more of the same.

Does anyone know anything of these missing laptops and when we could expect them or should i just go for the one with slightly less grunt?

P.s

Just a quick note:

I would buy a desktop if graphical power was the most important thing for me

As far as I know, no-one in the UK currently has a restock date, looks like MSI might be replacing the entire line with the GT729 (I think thats the model number anyway), which is pretty much the same machine with DDR3 memory, though that is only my uninformed opinion obviously

I am in the same boat, the GT725 would have been perfect for my needs and was at a pretty reasonable price for the UK, so now I am left looking at something much more expensive to get the same performance.

don't get the one with the GT 120 its useless, get the one with the HD4850

GT 120 is a rebranded 9500 >_>

I have the gx720 (same laptop but with a 9600gt) The performance of the laptop is great but I just didnt do it for me so I gave it to my girlfriend.

The speakers on mine were poor despite there being 4 and sub.
The keyboard was below par, they have tried to cram too much into too small an area resulting in some undersized and misplaced keys. I type a lot so keyboard is important to me.
The build quality was average and the plastics felt cheap.
The trackpad has a nasty feel to it, its difficult to explain it any better than that.

If you are after pure performance then go for it but if you want a good all round laptop look elsewhere.

BTW. ATI mobile drivers are actually worse than nvidia!!! I have an ATI 4670 in my current laptop and you want to try getting new drivers installed in that ;)

Its a GT 130 actually :p

Anyway ive opted for the 723 simply because it seems balanced enough for my needs... i only play specific shooters which are not all that demanding along with various mmo's and rpg's so i should be ok.

The ps3 usually gets dragged out for all my other gaming needs

Oh yea and as for the drivers thing.. christ i swear since owning laptops ive had a good 10 years knocked off my life through stressing over unstable gpu drivers!
