Hello

I have a msi 2gb gtx560ti oc edition in my gaming system and was thinking about buying a second one this week from overclockers to link them in SLI as they are not bad price now.

What performance will i gain?? is it worth it with to of them in sli?. i dont have the the budget to buy the latest GPU cards just yet.

I will be running a corsair AX850w PSU and have i7 960 @ 4.ghz 6gb ram soon to be 12gb corsair ram.

Any help please will be very helpful.

Regards
Kyle

If you can live with 1gb vram and not running BF3 on ultra with 4XMSAA then it is worth doing. You'll near on double performance in some games and get nice gains out of others.

oh dear, in your rush to be condescending just because you can, you appear to have had a reading and comprehension failure and ended up making a fool of yourself

@ the op, twin 2GB 560ti's will destroy every game out there at 1080p, it's a great setup at a decent price for you, for how long is anyone's guess but based on the games currently on the market it's currently a great choice (even BF3 on ultra with 4xMSAA)

A bit harsh, but very true. :)

As was wrongly poitned out the limitation woudl be the Vram but as you have a 2GB version that is not an issue.

Just make sure you case is well cooled, as it will produce more heat.

i ran gtx 560ti 2gb sli up until recently, that power supply is fine ofc, uses about 420w vsynced and about 520 without. destroys every game out there that supports sli, BF3 runs maxed, 1080p at 50+fps at all times, usually around 70. was quite a bit faster than a friends 580 in a fair few games too

Cool thanks for your replys very helpful i just ordered another msi 2gb gtx560ti :) looking forward to see the different in frame rates using 2 cards.

I have the corsair 600t case in white with couple extra fans in there so cooling should be ok.
