MSI GX60 Upgrades

Has anyone played with upgrades for the MSI GX60 ?

Do RAM upgrades have much impact?

I'm pondering on getting one and using the rebate to upgrade the RAM to Corsair Vengence 1600 or maybe 1866s.

Any thoughts ?

There are no options to adjust memory timing in the bios, though you can via software. A guy here on ocUK had a go tinkering with memory timings and found the a10-4600m showed pretty impressive gains with tighter timings in 3dmark and posted his results over on the 'gx60 owners lounge' thread on notebookreview forums.

I'm personally waiting for the a10-5750m to start selling oem on the auction site (hopefully for around £100) and then upgrade the memory to 1866.
