MSI GX740 equivalent?

Right I've tried to get this laptop from the one place in the UK that seems to be selling it but they don't take my card and are frequently going out of stock!

Is there an equivalent gaming laptop about for the same price? I'll want to play new games on it, not bothered about portability too much except to move it around the house and occasionally to a friend's house.

I might end up getting the 740 on my brother's card but if there's something just as good elsewhere then I'd love to hear about it.

Did you ever get one or an alternative ?
Been happy with my Studio17, but thinking I may upgrade to an MSI now.
Thinking I may import one of these from the US.

Can get a pretty good spec unit for just under £1k shipped.
GX740, Core i7, HD5870 etc.
