Hi,

I'm new to overclocking and i'm not quite sure how to get the best results out if anyone could help me, i know the basics with MSI Afterburner and such but i'm really not good measuring the right voltage, fan speed etc etc to maintain the correct temperature. I heard the card has massive overclocking ability and i want to exploit that and get the best out of it as it's getting pretty bottlenecked on my motherboard M2N-SLI Deluxe at the moment. Which i am also looking to upgrade after christmas.

I also would love to overclock my AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6400+ cpu as at the moment i'm looking to upgrade but have not got the funds available yet. Anyone who can help me overclock both to a stable ammount i'de really appreciate it.

This might help for your graphics card mate http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18389760

I have a Msi 7950, i use Msi afterburner to overclock but AMD Overdirve is also just as good in the Catalyst Control Centre.

Just take your time and find a good Core overclock first on stock volts, by moving the slider in small steps 5 or 10Mhz at a time and then use a bench program like Heaven 3.0 to see if its OK.

Edit: Also move the Power Control slider to +20 this allows the card to use more Juice if needed.

As for your CPU i cant help as i Ive never had one :(

The guide above posted is brilliant helped me push my msi 7850 to 1340mhz and 5800 mem.

Best bit of advise I can give is to use the asus gpu tweak software and push the power bar up to around 4-5x just so it can draw more if it wants keeps it more stable:)

And of course putting a water block on it is definatly worth the investment:)
