As title. I've got one of these mobos with a 3700 san diego and I'm looking to upgrade it to summat faster. I've checked the msi website and had a look round but they only list cpus from at least a coupla years ago, maybe older. I was wondering if I could instal an s939 X2 but I don't know if AMD make them in s939 format, or wether this mobo could take it.
Any suggestions/ info would be appreciated. Cheers :)

abit's equivalent can take any S939 made (incl. x2s & Opterons) so I would be surprised if MSI's couldn't.

Earlier on today I stumbled across MSI's mobo compatibility chart and as you say, it appears it'll take most s939 cpus. I suppose I'll see if i can get me hands on a 4000 or higher cpu then, maybe even an X2 if possible and the if price is right.:)

What about a 939 dual core and oc it. my bro still runs a 4000 single core (had one myself a few years ago) or perhaps an fx 55/57 if you can find one in the auction site.
