MSI Kombustor Settings help

Hi guys

I have overclocked 5850 to 900/1200MHz from stock 725/1000MHz and would like to test the overclock stabiliy. I did use msi kombustor and furmark in the past but don't think I used the right settings. Also afaik furmark and kombustor are same program with just different screens pattern.

Now the thing is I am still using 1024x768 res monitor atm. However in near future I hope to get 1080p monitor for gaming.

First of all it gives me two options for render path OpenGL2 & OpenGL3. Afaik the ATI graphics cards use Direct3d and not OpenGL. So would it matter which one I choose.

Secondly which run-mode should I select?

Thirdly If I were to select 1080p res with full window enabled, would kombustor emulate those res?

What should I do about MSAA and for how long should I run the program?

(I know I am a bit of a noob in overclocking graphics cards department)

Dont use any of them to test stability. Use some games just play and watch for graphical errors, kombuster and furmark stress the GPU unnecessarily no game will ever push the card to the limits that those kinds of benchmarks do.
