Hi guys I purchased this MSI laptop

These are some of the specs for the laptop

The first one which I have since returned, when I installed windows and got to the desktop, it was just incredibly slow. If I clicked the start menu it wouldn't show up for around 3-5 seconds. When checking in task manager the disk was spiking from 80%-100% constantly. My brother and I followed every guide we could fine, we in trying to solve the disk usage problem. We then did a clean install of windows and no joy. So we sent that back for a replacement.

The replacement came yesterday and although it's not as slow, it does still have the disk 100% usage going between 80% - 100%

It does sometimes stick, and struggles to multi task, I find this a bit weird for a brand new laptop. It doesn't have an SSD though, and I'm used to only having a computer with an SSD. Could it be that it just needs and SSD in order to be as quick as want it too.

It seems to run games ok by the way.

Thanks!

Ive just ran a game of CSGO and it drops frames a lot, and sticks even on medium settings, is this something that would be better if I bought the SSD drive?

Have you let Windows do all it's updates. New installs can go through many updates unt it catches up with the current version.
What is the network traffic like in task manager?
Andi.
