MSI Lightning XE?

I remember reading a thread here a couple of days ago, in which an MSI Rep on these boards said that the Lightning XE cards would be back in stock around mid July. However, they are now up for pre-order, but the ETA on the site is for the 31st of July.

Does anyone know which side is correct?

I hope you intend to run two on a multi monitor setup otherwise it's pointless.

According to my tests, dual-instance of WoW (each 1680x1050 windowed) eats more than 1.6GB vram.

To the OP: you might consider waiting for the 28nm cards around the corner. I don't think OcUK would re-stock the XE 3GB version soon because they now have to clear the 1.5GB Lightning first. I'd try other sites.

roughly the end of July is the most likely ETA.

It's got nothing to do with stock levels of any other cards though, it's simply down to a shortage of the XE. The 1.5GB version is not being discontinued, we plan to sell them side by side due to the price difference.
