msi live update bios

With MSI nothing is safe to update the bios. Of all the motherboard manufacturers MSI have by far, the highest chance of bricking the board. They have never sorted this problem and I think it's extremely poor. The best way (still by no means safe) is to sign up to their forum so you get access to the forum flash tool. It can still brick the board though. If you don't want to do that use the tool in the bios (M-Flash?) and flash from a usb stick. Do not under any circumstances use Live Update to flash the bios as that is the one most certain to brick the board. Be warned though that you could end up with a bricked board whichever method you use.
 
Yes I have used it okay including for the GPU. Swings and roundabouts as I ended up with a MSI bootloop of death after using the BIOS method to upgrade.
