MSI MAG TOMAHAWK B650 - Would it still require a Flash BIOS Update for Ryzen 7 7800X3D in December 2024?

Hi, I'm building my first PC with an B650 MSI MAG TOMAHAWK with a Ryzen 7 7800x3d CPU.

I have been using PC****PICKER as a guide and got a warning about my motherboard needing a Flash BIOS Update for 7 7800x3d compatibility.

I will be ordering this motherboard sometime in December, possibly January. Because the CPU has been out for a while now, will a brand-new motherboards come with the supported BIOS right out of the bag?

Hi and welcome.

It's more than likely the MSI b650 tomahawk will have support for the 7800x3d but even if it doesn't that motherboard has a bios flash feature so you can update the bios without the need for another CPU.
