Hello! I have built a new machine in which the msi b560pro-e motherboard gen1-2 pcie speeden only boots my intel arc 770 gpu. If I set it to higher, the video card will not start.(gen3-4 pcie, and auto function) from this I conclude that the motherboard is not good.
In your opinion, is a new Msi MAG Z490 Tomahaw + intel i7 11700f + intel arc a770 config compatible and works properly?

Did you update the BIOS on the B560 motherboard? I can't see any technical reason why it would not support your graphics card @ PCI-E 3.0/4.0.

Since there's no obvious reason I can see why it didn't work, I wouldn't like to guarantee you'll have more success with an older motherboard.

That said, if I search the user profiles on userbenchmark, there are several users of the Tomahawk that have that card. If it works @ PCI-E 3.0 (and with rebar enabled), I couldn't say.

Frissítetted a BIOS-t a B560 alaplapon?

And the problem might be that there are 1db m.2 and 1db pcie slots connected to a bus, and for some reason the motherboard doesn't work on gen3-4 maybe because the gpu is taking up most of the space and only gen2 will start the machine. + I was advised to stick with the intel 500+ chipset if possible.

The m2 slot on the b560pro-e comes from the chipset so that should have no affect on the CPU pcie lanes .

Also running at pcie 2 X 16 will only loose about 10% max FPS compared to pcie4, check benchmarks.

Replace the b560 with a better board.

I was thinking that too, but I'm not sure if rebar can still be enabled with PCI-E 2.0?

The 500 chipset has native support for 11th gen CPUs, the 10th gen boards (Z490) may need a BIOS update.
